What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Midwest True Home Inspections, LLC ("Midwest True Home Inspections," "we," "us," or "our") provides residential home inspection services in Wichita, Kansas and the surrounding area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through midwesttruehome.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information you give us when you book an inspection. The booking form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, the address of the property to be inspected (street, city, state, and ZIP code), the date and time you select, any additional services you request, the approximate square footage of a detached structure (if applicable), any additional email addresses you want copied on confirmations, the names of your buyer's agent and the listing agent, and any notes you choose to include.
Information you give us when you contact us. The Contact page asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), a subject, and your message. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to tell us.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages and files requested. We use this for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics tools, or social-media pixels on the Site.
Information about other people. If you give us someone else's contact details (for example, a co-buyer's email address or a real estate agent's name), please make sure you are permitted to share it. We use it only to carry out your booking.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it for third-party marketing.
Our scheduling system connects to Google so that bookings appear on our calendar and so that we never double-book an inspection time. This section describes exactly what that involves.
Who connects a Google account. Only the owner of Midwest True Home Inspections connects a Google account, from our private administrator dashboard. Customers and visitors are never asked to sign in with Google or to grant access to their Google accounts, and we do not collect any data from customers' Google accounts.
What we access and why.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar). With the owner's authorization, the Site (a) checks the owner's calendar for busy and free times so that only open appointment times are offered and a time that has just been taken cannot be booked twice; (b) creates a calendar event for each confirmed inspection, containing the booking details described in Section 1; and (c) updates or deletes the events it created when a booking is rescheduled, edited, or cancelled. The Site reads only free/busy time blocks for availability. It does not read the titles, descriptions, locations, or attendees of other calendar events. How it is stored. When the owner connects Google Calendar, Google issues an authorization token that lets the Site keep working without asking the owner to sign in each time. This token is stored in our access-restricted database hosted on Cloudflare and is used only to make the calendar requests described above. Short-lived access tokens are generated as needed and are not stored. Calendar events created by the Site live in the owner's own Google Calendar and are subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
How it is shared. We do not sell Google user data, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. We do not allow humans to read Google user data except (a) the business owner, who owns the calendar, (b) when we have your consent, (c) when necessary for security purposes or to investigate abuse, or (d) when required by law.
Limited Use. Midwest True Home Inspections' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting and deletion. The owner can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the administrator dashboard, which deletes the stored token, and can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Calendar events already created remain in the owner's Google Calendar until the owner deletes them.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to perform their services:
We may also disclose information when you ask us to (for example, sending a report to your real estate agent), when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of our customers, the public, or ourselves, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. We do not sell personal information.
The public pages of the Site do not set advertising or analytics cookies. A single, strictly necessary cookie is set only when the business owner signs in to the private administrator dashboard, to keep that session secure. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the booking and contact forms will still work.
We keep booking records, contact messages, and related business records for as long as needed to provide our services, answer follow-up questions, and meet business, tax, insurance, and legal record-keeping needs. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 9), and we will do so unless we are required or permitted to keep it.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access-restricted storage, and a protected administrator dashboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not include sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or payment card numbers in the booking form or contact form.
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law; we will honor valid requests as required. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential messages, although we send only service-related emails about your booking and inquiries.
The Site is intended for adults who are buying, selling, or owning property. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site may link to other websites, such as InterNACHI. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of other sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
